Legalization is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a document is genuine. Having a document legalized doesn't mean that its contents are accurate, and it doesn't carry any sort of official approval by the Embassy.

If you are going to use a Serbian document in mainland China, the document should be legalized by the Embassy after being notarized by the Serbian Notary Public and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

If you are going to use a Serbian document in Hong Kong or Macao SAR, the document can be directly used after being notarized by the Serbian Notary Public and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

The applicants for legalization should submit the following documents:

1. One completed Notarization / Legalization Application Form signed by the applicant.

2. The original document which has been notarized by the Serbian Notary Public and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and its complete copy.

3. 1) For Serbian citizens: Applicant's passport and a copy of passport data page, or applicant's Serbian ID card and a copy.

2) For others: Applicant's passport, a copy of passport data page and valid residence permit.

4. Evidence of applicant's employment / study or other status in Serbia;

5. Other documents concering the legalization or required by the consular officer.

Processing time and fees:

The processing time for legalization is 5 working days.

The legalization fee is US$24 for each document concerning civil affairs and US$48 for each document concerning commerce, estate or property.

Please pay the fees at Raiffeisen Banka.
