2009-07-22 20:47

Serbian Parliament President Slavica Djukic Dejanovic met with Jing Zhiyuan, member of the Central Military Commission and commander of the Second Artillery Force (SAF) of the Chinese PLA who was paying an official visit to Serbia, and his party on July 20.

At the meeting, Jing Zhiyuan said that the mutual visits between high-level leaders of the two countries had been frequent and the political mutual-trust had been deepening in recent years, as evidenced by the fruitful pragmatic co-operation in all field, including military. The Chinese side appreciated Serbia's steadfast adherence to the one-China policy. The Chinese military will work together with the Serbian military to boost the constant development of the friendly cooperative ties between the two militaries.

Dejanovic said that state heads of the two countries had reached important consensus on boosting the development of bilateral ties during 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which is in conformity with the basic wish of peoples of both countries. Sticking to one-China policy is the consensus of the Serbian parliament and government and this policy will never change.
